DCM - Monthly Colour Combo#1

This week at Daring Cardmakers we have the very first in our brand new "First Friday" series. Over the last couple of years we've used Birthstones and Flowers for these challenges, and they've both been interesting and inspiring themes to work with. For 2012 the First Friday of each month will feature a

Colour Combo Challenge

We're all taking a turn choosing a combination of colours to base our card-making around so there should be
a fab variety of hues and tones to get us creating. We hope you'll enjoy the idea and feel inspired to join in with us!

Fran is kicking off this new series in style with a fab inspiration photo and colour palette.

Here is my card (apologies for the very dark photo but there has been much natural daylight this week!)....

I just love MME and the Lost & Found sets but I find it difficult to use as I never want to cover up the little details, so instead I've turned it around and decided to make the little train part of the main card.

LinkMy sentiment hasn't photographed very well and the blue ink is much brighter in real life. I added a couple of buttons and twine to complete my labels with some gorgeous organic cotton ribbon and scallop trim underneath.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the DCM DT gorgeous creations.

Supplies used:
Cardstock - MME Lost & Found Breeze from the ribbon reel
Ribbon - Light Blue Organic Cotton ribbon, Natural button twine from the ribbon reel
Stamps - WMS Fancy Phrases set
Other - Buttons

Ah I was going to ask who made the stamp.... what beautiful papers. I love the die cut panels in the middle and lovely teal stripes in the ribbon. Thanks for your kind words over on my blog :-)

Beautiful Keilly, I love these papers too, and have the same problem with not wanting to cover any of it up. Beautiful soft colours too.
