I made it.....

As you may know, Daring Cardmakers recently put their first design team call out and I knew I couldn't let this opportunity pass and decided to take part. There was obviously a huge response to their request and although there were originally only 2 places available, the team decided to increse the places to 4.

Well, I'm so excited to finally announce that I am one of the lucky girls who was chosen and invited to join the design team. I have followed this inspirational challenge blog for several years and taken part in many of the weekly dares set. I am so thrilled to be designing with some super talented ladies. My other new teamies are Fran, Leo and Sharon.

I hope you'll pop over and join in this weeks dare which is hosted by Zuzana's who has asked us to become fashion designers and make some WOW factor dress, shoes, handbag, lingerie...

Here is my card:

WMS 2nd Birthday Tea Party

The Waltzingmouse Blog are celebrating their 2nd birthday and have a super challenge this week. Make either the tea cup/tea bag baggie or slice of cake/cupcake and decorate/stamp them for a party!

I downloaded the free tea bag baggie template from Waltzingmouse Stamps and this is what I made...

This is my first attempt at staining my seam binding, I used baby pink seam binding and Glimmer Mist Crushed Shells. Unfortunately, the photo doesn't quite pick up the colours very well but I loved how it turned out.

I adore these cherry blossom, they are one of my favourite flowers. I contemplated spraying them with glimmer mist too, but decided to keep them plain.

I haven't put these new PTI stamps down yet, I loves them! The WMS Vintage Labels 4 stamps frame the sentiment perfectly.

Supplies used:
Template -
WMS Tea Bag Baggie Template
Cardstock - Fancy Pants, White Card
Stamps -
WMS Vintage Labels 4, PTI Love Lives Here
Other - Cherry blossoms and pink seam binding from the ribbon reel, vintage photo and antique linen distress inks

Butterflies

I wanted to take part in two challenges this week, the first is the Daring Cardmakers challenge to create a card using bugs, butterflies or bees etc. The second is The Shabby Tea Room's Monochromatic challenge.

I have at long last received my PTI Love Lives Here stamp set and butterfly dies and knew I had to use them on my card. I wasn't sure about what colour to use for The Shabby Tea Room's challenge but opted for one of my favs, teal. It was actually quite hard to keep to one colour and not to add a neutral colour. After finishing the card and re-reading the challenge, I realised I could have used a neutral - oh well!

Supplies used:
Cardstock - Bazzill, Crate Paper Snow Day
Ribbon - Pearl Aqua seam binding from the ribbon reel
Flowers - paper flowers from stash, crochet flower from etsy
Stamps - PTI Love Lives Here

Butterfly Wishes

Just another little something for The Shabby Tea Room challenge #59, Butterfly Wishes.

I think this will be a work in progress and I'll add bits to it over time.

I used some small kraft boxes I've had in my cupboard for a while and painted them with antique cream acrylic paint and tied together with silky crush ribbon from the ribbon reel.

These adorable butterflies have been coloured with promarkers and have a paper flower added to the centre.

Just realised that the colours aren't quite in the same order but too late now!
