<span style="font-size: small;">I'm finally back in blogworld after taking a few months break to concentrate on <a href="http://www.theribbonreel.co.uk/">The Ribbon Reel</a> shop. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: small;">We have moved from fortnightly challenges to monthly ones from this month over at <a href="http://theribbonreelchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/">The Ribbon Reel Challenge Blog</a>, and what a fabulous challenge I have come back to. <a href="http://somewhereunderthesune.blogspot.co.uk/">Tammy</a> is our host this month and has chosen this b<span>eautiful shabby Christmas </span>photo to inspire us. </span></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgm-x-Ga4u3jTQo6s89fMUkNHDN0H39zNvOE0C138GK7lQe79_Ofm0_MYzZdjGYXlUieSrxIU2-g5SZIMOubpywgAARNvaC4L8cegsPXV55ps9cicJrMFBwzNDVthwqRt5houxT78G6ct3K/s1600/shabbychristmas.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgm-x-Ga4u3jTQo6s89fMUkNHDN0H39zNvOE0C138GK7lQe79_Ofm0_MYzZdjGYXlUieSrxIU2-g5SZIMOubpywgAARNvaC4L8cegsPXV55ps9cicJrMFBwzNDVthwqRt5houxT78G6ct3K/s400/shabbychristmas.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: small;">and ask that you create a card / project using the inspiration photo using <span><b>BLUE, PINK & CREAM/WHITE</b> <u><b>PLUS</b></u> <b>RIBBON</b></span>. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: small;"> </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: small;"> </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: small;">I love this colour combination for Christmas, I find the bold red and greens too much and love the subtle tones of the blue and pink. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: small;"> </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjR-SThJ9BqfYv1vtA7JIrNkTZ9PDKFWjgOOUL-CL-MU0ggJz5xBeVACP8ZC64sPXAYQzy1Syx-q3ygDtIEnEzd-4NodqzBg2XmZrPE7b70bUKnAn7xg3mhHqxhCOaL1_L2PIBo4A6L5BQ/s1600/Challenge+66+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjR-SThJ9BqfYv1vtA7JIrNkTZ9PDKFWjgOOUL-CL-MU0ggJz5xBeVACP8ZC64sPXAYQzy1Syx-q3ygDtIEnEzd-4NodqzBg2XmZrPE7b70bUKnAn7xg3mhHqxhCOaL1_L2PIBo4A6L5BQ/s320/Challenge+66+1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used several die cuts to create the central focus of the card and threaded seam binding around the edges. I added a simple WMS sentiment next to a glittery chipboard star.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEhyuuI3dlggPi9OS2tZLH3fpPzjx0W5cRDtzUixSYEWjRX8zlrl1f9mWjh0qZSoIM6LyqH44NLheaqEHpfNzXc8nogVVxx2cJuWJCgm6oLmQUjEu0z9ZdCGh23qnbPxfALQDkeLgksPg/s1600/Challenge+66+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEhyuuI3dlggPi9OS2tZLH3fpPzjx0W5cRDtzUixSYEWjRX8zlrl1f9mWjh0qZSoIM6LyqH44NLheaqEHpfNzXc8nogVVxx2cJuWJCgm6oLmQUjEu0z9ZdCGh23qnbPxfALQDkeLgksPg/s320/Challenge+66+2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: small;"> </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: small;">One of the most fantastic things about running a ribbon shop is that I get to play with all of the off cuts and couldn't resist this beautiful pink silk ribbon from May Arts to create a pretty bow. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: small;"> </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: small;"> </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: small;">I have used kraft cardstock inking the edges with PTI Snow White Ink, layering some pretty pink snowflake paper as the background. Papers from various MME sets make up the diecut circles with a little ivory silky crush and pink silk ribbon to running horizontally.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: small;"> </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: small;">We have two fabulous prizes up for grabs. Our first sponsor is the lovely 'Paper Sweeties' who are sponsoring us with a $20 Gift Certificate to their store. </span></div>

It's Friday and time for another fun challenge over at <a href="http://daringcardmakers.blogspot.co.uk/">Daring Cardmakers</a>. It's my turn to set the dare this week and I've chosen...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-large;"><span style="font-size: xx-small;"> </span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-large;">Ink It Up!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'd like to see cards using ink - there are lots of choices, perhaps you could ink up an image or patterned stamp, or even use spray inks to create a background. Let's see how inventive we can be with this crafty basic!</div>
<br />
Here is my card....<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhogVx9aWGnZ06PVrSNNRT6ogr5nUy9MwhQzwUx2ysCxhoLIXy4HgSucXMiJwzf847vzMShOE6QD5EWEX5o5AKkyxs6tmQMTnF1rAmSUr1k-bznGGyQETsq6EafjQR1rfpGOeGINM7V_wM/s1600/DCM+Ink+It+Up.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhogVx9aWGnZ06PVrSNNRT6ogr5nUy9MwhQzwUx2ysCxhoLIXy4HgSucXMiJwzf847vzMShOE6QD5EWEX5o5AKkyxs6tmQMTnF1rAmSUr1k-bznGGyQETsq6EafjQR1rfpGOeGINM7V_wM/s400/DCM+Ink+It+Up.jpg" width="316" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I decided to use only the craft items that were closest to me to make my card, so neutrals it is then! I started with some pretty papers from MME The Sweetest Thing Lavender set. I added a paper doily topped with a nestie label. The little cluster is a small seam binding ribbon and natural crochet lace tied in bows, a white cherry blossom and a couple of white heart pins. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For the 'ink it up' part of the challenge, I stamped a DRD butterfly stamp in Sahara Sand adding a few pearls to the body. I also grabbed my recent purchase from Paper Sweeties, a set of sentiments, I settled with 'Celebrate Your Day' also inked with Sahara Sand. </div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Don't forget to check out the beautiful cards from the <a href="http://daringcardmakers.blogspot.co.uk/">DT</a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">Supplies used:</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">

<span style="font-size: x-small;">Stamps - DRD Butterfly, <a href="http://www.papersweeties.com/shop/product-category/all-products/page/8/">You Make Me Smile from Paper Sweeties</a></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">

</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
After having a bit of time away from crafting and blogging, I am slowly getting back to normal. It's Friday so that means a new challenge over at <a href="http://daringcardmakers.blogspot.co.uk/">Daring Cardmakers</a>, and such a great challenge to come back to.<br />
<br />
Beckie would like to challenge you to make a card with a 'spring' on it somewhere. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1hE-iV8JBcYAIKbQUS0apUXM10J-peXfIPDWeG5wv4Y0JzJxY2BAYzMPNl-oSDkBjgwNmMyZPvpjbu6cJJtCW88mXK1YZCcfNeghr8rSKMBrjSvXu42q7dy-RbfBCf5lc4Wx4izbZLM4/s1600/crocus.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1hE-iV8JBcYAIKbQUS0apUXM10J-peXfIPDWeG5wv4Y0JzJxY2BAYzMPNl-oSDkBjgwNmMyZPvpjbu6cJJtCW88mXK1YZCcfNeghr8rSKMBrjSvXu42q7dy-RbfBCf5lc4Wx4izbZLM4/s400/crocus.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
And now for a little special treat for one lucky person!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This week digital stamp store 'Little Blue Button' is sponsoring the dare and have a $10 gift certificate to give away! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
All you need to do is leave a link as usual to show us your finished creation and you'll be entered into the prize draw. The winner will be picked at random and announced ahead of next week's dare (Friday 5th April). Big thank you to Little Blue Button for offering this cool prize! Don't forget to check out their store, <a href="http://digitaldesignsby.blogspot.co.uk/">http://digitaldesignsby.blogspot.co.uk/</a> maybe there's something there to inspire your 'Springy' card creation!<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
Here is my card.....</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I had so many ideas for this card but settled with using some beautiful spring colours, flowers and this super cute wooden deer. Oh and not forgetting the little wire springs stems of the flowers. All of these things remind me of spring.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>

It's Friday and time for another challenge over at <a href="http://daringcardmakers.blogspot.co.uk/">Daring Cardmakers</a>. This week it's my turn to set the challenge....</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><b>'Embossability'</b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'd like you to make a card / project and use embossing of some kind, either wet or dry embossing, let's see some texture!</div>
<br />
Here is my card....
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"></span><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtGEhsrnz6tmjlBR6_bn0vkXtCDNrV-I0Fjg7Uol2jUlGfRRrh3n3lrQyZp9dsF0OpUgvtDy6-2fl0VANKGRvaKDlezGycV4c4VM46pCGAI38oBVsmbeM-t2Bd5sr101W2pHwJFpI3UIk/s1600/DCM+Embossing.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtGEhsrnz6tmjlBR6_bn0vkXtCDNrV-I0Fjg7Uol2jUlGfRRrh3n3lrQyZp9dsF0OpUgvtDy6-2fl0VANKGRvaKDlezGycV4c4VM46pCGAI38oBVsmbeM-t2Bd5sr101W2pHwJFpI3UIk/s400/DCM+Embossing.jpg" width="337" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
With all the snow around at the moment, I decided to go with lots of white! I started with embossing some kraft card using the Classical Beauty embossing folder from Sizzix and wiping Fresh Snow Ink across the top. I added it to some musical note paper from MME Be Happy. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgXCUPk72N7FO9Imr6K_3HfclCI4Z8G2osFUG3ozLms0UD58Q90Mi__JPaXRZRk6DvcuAiSOLoercguKlFuCU3xz2paXqlhA_iTGVaY_SOHMJz4O_jGSowMnkONyKNhz-127rND5HAvOnQ/s1600/DCM+Embossing+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgXCUPk72N7FO9Imr6K_3HfclCI4Z8G2osFUG3ozLms0UD58Q90Mi__JPaXRZRk6DvcuAiSOLoercguKlFuCU3xz2paXqlhA_iTGVaY_SOHMJz4O_jGSowMnkONyKNhz-127rND5HAvOnQ/s400/DCM+Embossing+1.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used my circle PTI dies to create the labels using paper from MME Be Happy. The sentiment stickers are from MME The Sweetest Thing Tiny Words, they are so sweet! I added some tea roses, natural button twine and snow white pearls. </div>

It's Friday and time for another challenge over at <a href="http://daringcardmakers.blogspot.co.uk/">Daring Cardmakers</a>. It's Leo's turn to set the dare the challenge and she would like you to incorporate some kind of frill on your card. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It could be a frilly embellishment or background or maybe a stamp you have that would work. Anything that's fun and frilly! </div>
<br />
Here's my card.....<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCUPe1ajXMobAUQ2JPuTpDVhVcLL5gKZMzS6ytcOjxsXJwKcPd8KEP_NYBwLYM1ftSmFE1R5Sda8tC-eRl1wusLvTHeIQzjVyBUW5yHg4jOKozS2ch4qzmUS5as5TtzsWwetf7qXlrKzo/s1600/DCM+Frill.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCUPe1ajXMobAUQ2JPuTpDVhVcLL5gKZMzS6ytcOjxsXJwKcPd8KEP_NYBwLYM1ftSmFE1R5Sda8tC-eRl1wusLvTHeIQzjVyBUW5yHg4jOKozS2ch4qzmUS5as5TtzsWwetf7qXlrKzo/s400/DCM+Frill.jpg" width="321" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I already knew that I would do a ribbon frill / pleat of some kind as soon as I saw this challenge. I bought some new papers recently so had a look through to see what caught my eye and found some beautiful MME Meadow papers. I loved the fresh spring colour and added a white layer to add some contrast between the patterned paper. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmJFosjUj9VGO0frZdHrUkiWJDsil1krTKVOmX3GZ1RhGVX1D7l0-QZdDIzZ0nhe8xfbvafix4jy7NDtvlW5Mn9Elhx8D189fzHTi5Llx1ZoQzc-Wdjagt6hyphenhyphen3SmdDxLSyooprVq_8V8k/s1600/DCM+Frill+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmJFosjUj9VGO0frZdHrUkiWJDsil1krTKVOmX3GZ1RhGVX1D7l0-QZdDIzZ0nhe8xfbvafix4jy7NDtvlW5Mn9Elhx8D189fzHTi5Llx1ZoQzc-Wdjagt6hyphenhyphen3SmdDxLSyooprVq_8V8k/s400/DCM+Frill+2.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
To keep this crisp and clean look, I printed a butterfly sentiment from Pink Petticoat. The butterflies are cut with my PTI die using the same Meadow papers. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
After playing around with the layout for a little while, I decided to add my frill / pleat ribbon to the bottom of the card and layer the butterflies fluttering from it. To finish I added some pearl hearts to the centre of each butterfly.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<br />
MME must be one of my favourite brands and I just love these papers. I layered the papers as the base of my card. I used a MME journalling card, which I cut to size, distressed and used my punch to create the notebook edge. I added a paper doily and a little black patterned paper behind it, in an attempt to create some layers (those that know me, will know layers don't come naturally to me!)<br />
<br />
I used the fabulous star stamp from WMS as my focal point which I cut by hand and added a white glittered chipboard snowflake on top and topped with a little Christmas sentiment, also from WMS. I added some MME washi tape and brad from MME and some rancho red seam binding, which I distressed with crushed shell Glimmer Mist.<br />

<b>Happy New Year to everyone! </b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
And what a great start it is, Leo has set our first colour combo challenge of the year over at <a href="http://daringcardmakers.blogspot.co.uk/">Daring Cardmakers</a> and it involves one of my favourite colours, teal. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLvGTavuu7mugzGJt4jmnPl916-RdALfWgMD2PznDEtD3TmLHdgqCecPi8TwKweJh3TKFScDbRJ5TgKjWShXjOq-r3-v9u2aSKqKNdBgasV2FFBdmxHjLZbOwR3o_J76H2xB1yzqtPsGE/s1600/CreatureColor_1.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLvGTavuu7mugzGJt4jmnPl916-RdALfWgMD2PznDEtD3TmLHdgqCecPi8TwKweJh3TKFScDbRJ5TgKjWShXjOq-r3-v9u2aSKqKNdBgasV2FFBdmxHjLZbOwR3o_J76H2xB1yzqtPsGE/s320/CreatureColor_1.png" width="270" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used a dark teal paper from MME for my base and then layered kraft cardstock that I embossed with my Sizzix Classical Beauty folder, creating a beautiful pattern which I inked with PTI Fresh Snow to help it stand out. </div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBnB9U8IiCw-DLHhiwgdx4KfrPNRP-Asdl0pL9TceqlkycVgt8sE9i-7svMFkcjwKP3dpWL5j0m0IyHAS0tUsj-sXHXZ7aN8urMsJvbhQO4f6jCHPPvLTbGKNtMyH7GMEwEas15pI29U4/s1600/DCM+Jan+CC.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="302" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBnB9U8IiCw-DLHhiwgdx4KfrPNRP-Asdl0pL9TceqlkycVgt8sE9i-7svMFkcjwKP3dpWL5j0m0IyHAS0tUsj-sXHXZ7aN8urMsJvbhQO4f6jCHPPvLTbGKNtMyH7GMEwEas15pI29U4/s400/DCM+Jan+CC.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I then used two strips of musical note washi tape either side of the silky crush ribbon band. The central labels are from my ever growing and much loved nesties collection. The sentiment is from WMS's Say It Loud Set, another favourite of mine. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyrg6FfpUay-CkmM1Qp41XJfUJnD0LsLZVZzVqET2lfAL0sI-E3og18ZF26dhG6zVH4USr-t9t74VF1gfnEXjsy0-mMUiMooW9A2Rt1mc2b5yaKd3242Lhrt-Y5sKgscHq7Sqh3ns3OjI/s1600/DCM+Jan+CC+(1).jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyrg6FfpUay-CkmM1Qp41XJfUJnD0LsLZVZzVqET2lfAL0sI-E3og18ZF26dhG6zVH4USr-t9t74VF1gfnEXjsy0-mMUiMooW9A2Rt1mc2b5yaKd3242Lhrt-Y5sKgscHq7Sqh3ns3OjI/s400/DCM+Jan+CC+(1).jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
To finish the card I added a couple of layered butterflies and a few shabby tea roses. I didn't have the colour roses I wanted so I decided to raid my glimmer mists and see if I could create the colour I needed. I sprayed the white roses first with Electric Blue and then to help tone the blue down, I used Crushed Shell on top. I love the two-tone result, which doesn't seem to show too well in the photo.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is the first of many Thank You cards that I need to send out to family and friends to thank them for their wonderful and thoughtful gifts last month. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<br />
This was such a fun challenge and I knew straight away to dig out my WMS stamps! The holiday ornaments set had a nordic feel to it so it was perfect. <br />
<br />
I started with the Cosmo Cricket paper as my background. The kraft cardstock has been embossed and a little white ink added to the raised pattern to highlight the design (this folder is one of the new additions to my stash, how I've gone for so long with out embossing folders I don't know!). I layered a piece of red gingham fabric over the top of the embossing and lightly frayed the edges. I would ideally have liked to stitch the fabric to the cardstock but my sewing machine has been pushed to the back of the cupboard in search of our Christmas decorations. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhp6REIGmdAoPeWWe6VY8oq8b16OBi5yKQD5BD9jTZwt2kgp6BTh7l_lKZ-3mX4WKv9OtuNRSQLVkxVU8wVPkZJ4yHBg_bX_Rcuk5Dtl49bBJtdpcpdwZDkCtP906e__ZW1URIWfDEONd4/s1600/Keilly+TRR%2343+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhp6REIGmdAoPeWWe6VY8oq8b16OBi5yKQD5BD9jTZwt2kgp6BTh7l_lKZ-3mX4WKv9OtuNRSQLVkxVU8wVPkZJ4yHBg_bX_Rcuk5Dtl49bBJtdpcpdwZDkCtP906e__ZW1URIWfDEONd4/s400/Keilly+TRR%2343+1.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I thought the woven burlap would look great with the colour scheme so added a little snippet to the top and bottom of the card, pulling out the edge slightly, before overlaying some natural button twine. And not forgetting my little gingham bow to top the ornament. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh26IclfWGsfwTiBXpOWIlWi2-FkqdWVZWyin3HqvPZSvgFTsBvR71L3jcsaAyZtWriYTjFECDRwYFrKDHPN9eP5Iq1cMDWEsaI6lkx9jNOCaygUF1zChbwjI0xIUSTai9fWMiu3HAC68U/s1600/Keilly+TRR%2343+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh26IclfWGsfwTiBXpOWIlWi2-FkqdWVZWyin3HqvPZSvgFTsBvR71L3jcsaAyZtWriYTjFECDRwYFrKDHPN9eP5Iq1cMDWEsaI6lkx9jNOCaygUF1zChbwjI0xIUSTai9fWMiu3HAC68U/s400/Keilly+TRR%2343+2.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I inked up the reindeer holiday ornament stamp with PTI Snow White Ink (love this ink!) and cut out with the matching nestie. I added a little detail using a few dots of Stickles. I wanted to add some felt on my card somewhere so cut out a small heart by hand and added a button to the top. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcTSVOXRY2hbkKfGAv0nz9RukMYpinB6Ljbh10trGf1cjtGXYqCcmO7hAghud-FasTpnc7k5q06F4xCIWerMqVGTs7QUjhkr8Cbqv-650uz9ZoBuseTPH9_xMX8StW2qEA9jz1MkbD1-8/s1600/Keilly+TRR%2343+Side.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcTSVOXRY2hbkKfGAv0nz9RukMYpinB6Ljbh10trGf1cjtGXYqCcmO7hAghud-FasTpnc7k5q06F4xCIWerMqVGTs7QUjhkr8Cbqv-650uz9ZoBuseTPH9_xMX8StW2qEA9jz1MkbD1-8/s400/Keilly+TRR%2343+Side.jpg" width="352" /></a></div>
<br />
I haven't had time to make many Christmas cards this year. I struggle every year and always have the intention to start earlier the following year, but life carries on and it never happens. Anyway, I know exactly who I want to have this pretty card, I'm sure they'll love it!<br />

<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I left it a little late to make my card, hence the dark photo taken this evening. I've been suffering with my second cold within 2 weeks, plus my hubby is suffering with severe tooth ache. I'm hoping it's related to the cold he gave me and not the root canal work he recently had done! Emergency appointment needed in the morning for him!!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I was thinking of cheating and making a CAS card but changed my mind after flicking through my stamps and found this cute Gorjuss image, Little Foxes. I dug out my Promarkers and got colouring. Once I'd coloured my image, I found some matching papers, although I have no idea where they are from. The simple sentiment is from WMS stamped in Ripe Persimmon Distress Ink. </div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I handcut my image, adding an adhesive pearl heart to her pocket and an orange resin flower to her hat. I'm really pleased with my colouring, I'm still learning but enjoying any improvements I make. I<b> </b>layered the papers and added a paper doily behind the image. Finishing with a little button twine bow, a couple of roses and some white crochet lace. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I decided to checkout Pinterest for some 'rainbow' inspiration and found so many beautiful cards. I decided to use strips of ribbon on this card, of course in the colours of the rainbow.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I'm lucky enough to have a huge selection of ribbons at my fingertips to choose from. I decided to use a different type ribbon for each colour. I managed to use 12 different types; red pom pom trim, red twill, orange mesh, orange mini ric rac, yellow gingham frill, yellow burlap cord, celery green stripe twill, green grosgrain, blue satin, blue velvet, purple gingham, purple stitch grosgrain. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I created a quick flower from the yellow gingham ruffle ribbon and added a a red tea rose and light violet cherry blossom, along with a blue candy stripe button and red polka dot button. The card looked a bit bare in the middle so I decided to add a kraft butterfly using my PTI die. The sentiment is also from PTI.</div>

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHpzqhMoHIIwdM109B9N4J1scMrh03Iu3ke0rk1uNDWWyCa_Unc8e5lAbpWmz2HMcwGtZZoXrm3pufKLlJ3qWVEcTD9jLrAriJrxIm6C3BVW0JO2e-PaQ8ExPexdBepX6GxK_8YIWMGrY/s1600/Keilly+TRR+%252339.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHpzqhMoHIIwdM109B9N4J1scMrh03Iu3ke0rk1uNDWWyCa_Unc8e5lAbpWmz2HMcwGtZZoXrm3pufKLlJ3qWVEcTD9jLrAriJrxIm6C3BVW0JO2e-PaQ8ExPexdBepX6GxK_8YIWMGrY/s400/Keilly+TRR+%252339.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
</div>
</div>
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
This was such a fab challenge from Fran, I loved the photo inspiration and the requirements for the challenge. I immediately thought, kraft, white and ink! Then I knew it had to be a Christmas card. This is my first Christmas card of the year, with many more to make in the next few weeks. I decided to add a few 'shabby' elements, including paper doilies, lots of white ink and crinkled seam binding. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQtkuNlg2Q9pZI1IDyf8khW9GGJjSm6DMVHCakIrK-WPuW8m_WVR9IPbZYGOV96XCuAVtaEVcPlD1hsyallPSdj-d4LdHDdqbIDaHtdOUszxth1IMww2hjvnJTPpKgFb4RZAzeKmu76E0/s1600/Keilly+TRR+%2339+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQtkuNlg2Q9pZI1IDyf8khW9GGJjSm6DMVHCakIrK-WPuW8m_WVR9IPbZYGOV96XCuAVtaEVcPlD1hsyallPSdj-d4LdHDdqbIDaHtdOUszxth1IMww2hjvnJTPpKgFb4RZAzeKmu76E0/s400/Keilly+TRR+%2339+1.jpg" width="266" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I based my card on to some musical note paper from Echo Park and then stamped the kraft cardstock with a script stamp in white ink. I had an old paper doily which was a little torn but kept it, just in case I could use it, and added half to each side of my card. I used the same musical note paper as the base of my label and inked up a WMS Seasonal Remedies stamp in white ink. I added a few pieces of ivory woven burlap which were little pieces of off cuts which I distressed and pulled apart slightly to make wider. The mushroom seam binding was sprayed with Glimmer Mist, scrunched and left to dry on the heater before adding a loose bow. Then I added these beautiful white glitter chipboard stars to add a more Christmas feel. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEik2cwvCB6A0EPZ7p8f3OJOh7K4CpbBvkTEqqH5SZ4mH-dcjTbSWE6u7ZlngnhT32Ya7f4GRjBCj8IXHsQFKzdf6rn_g_6vt8iDhFRPFQ8H8kwaMA9dPoAJPW1Jee8HWyFs_cq7_12hI9Q/s1600/Keilly+TRR+%2339+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEik2cwvCB6A0EPZ7p8f3OJOh7K4CpbBvkTEqqH5SZ4mH-dcjTbSWE6u7ZlngnhT32Ya7f4GRjBCj8IXHsQFKzdf6rn_g_6vt8iDhFRPFQ8H8kwaMA9dPoAJPW1Jee8HWyFs_cq7_12hI9Q/s400/Keilly+TRR+%2339+2.jpg" width="266" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The kraft tag was put together in a similar way to the card using a different Seasonal Remedies stamp.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<br />
and ask that you create a card/project inspired by the <b>NEUTRAL PALETTE</b> in the photo
<br />

<br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
I wanted to have a go at creating a card without patterned paper and dug through my stamps to find this beautiful damask background stamp from Darkroom Door. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglOzvRSs1WMJy5DasjeGcRwVE5bcbbhRXIfI3XjDxhDnruid4N_nOq_9tRZDdLXzvZEHi1P0qOLVLFUNqWq5H4YAA7eQ5G_gPkyQ6lE2M5dG-jQdnyWx3cXUpluA0lzxxOAaX2ictbdx0/s1600/Keilly+TRR+%252338+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="270" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglOzvRSs1WMJy5DasjeGcRwVE5bcbbhRXIfI3XjDxhDnruid4N_nOq_9tRZDdLXzvZEHi1P0qOLVLFUNqWq5H4YAA7eQ5G_gPkyQ6lE2M5dG-jQdnyWx3cXUpluA0lzxxOAaX2ictbdx0/s400/Keilly+TRR+%252338+1.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
The damask stamp was inked with Versamagic Sahara Sand on to white cardstock. I used my trusty tape gun to stick it onto a kraft card. The central label was created with my nesties with kraft and white cardstock. The sentiment is from WMS also inked with Sahara Sand. I sprayed Crushed Shell Glimmer Mist on to some Cameo Beige seam binding and tied a double bow and added a couple of mocha beige cherry blossom and an ivory tea rose. Oh and a few pearls!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

</div>
<br />
Yesterday I spent the day putting together a few gift bag sets to sell in my NOTHS shop so I had gift bags on the brain. There were a few sweets left over which were used as props so I decided to create a little gift bag for them. I used a large glassine bag and inked up the same damask stamp. I've not stamped on a glassine bag before so wasn't sure if it would work. It took a little while to dry but created a great look. The sentiment label is also from WMS. <br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
I loved this challenge and had tons of ideas of what I wanted to create. I opted to use one of the new kraft Chevron Bitty Bags from the shop as my centrepiece. I added a spellbinder label folded over the top of the bag held together with a mini wooden peg as a closure. The sweet shabby tea roses add the finishing touch to the bitty bag along with some aqua swirly pearls!<br />
<br />
I used papers from MME Be Happy and sewed around the edge of the card before adding some iced lime seam binding and a cute lemon yellow button tied on with some ivory button twine. Not forgetting the little label, which is a stamp from WMS's Big Berries Strawberry Set (love this set).<br />

It's Rein's turn to dare us over at Daring Cardmakers this week and she has chosen.....<br />
<br />
<b>Focus on Flowers</b><br />
<br />
let's see some flowers on your card - we often use flowers on our cards but often as an added embellishment to the main act so this week, we want to see them as the main feature of your creations and let them really show off their beauty.<br />
<br />
Here is my card...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Love the simplicity of this card and kept it very simple adding some white silky crush and a little purple button twine.<br />

I've been playing with this month's new templates from <a href="http://www.blogger.com/www.craftytemplates.co.uk">Crafty Templates</a> and created a birthday card<br />
.<br />
Here is my second card....
There are several pretty dresses to use in this months kit which definitely has a girly theme going on. I went with the Fifties Dress template.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYpR1TPWxn1iO8sLVQUVA_Gj_kslDfYy5FlfuOACS8W7wOi7BCl0hJenCW9bwYsc_yd23wIxrYWE6KdGsSQX7Nc-B87TQzQCogf8eqXCdoa8KCNxLifMldeMHTQ5nn5Yw8Fgz7tk8YLcI/s1600/CT+August+Fifties+Dress.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYpR1TPWxn1iO8sLVQUVA_Gj_kslDfYy5FlfuOACS8W7wOi7BCl0hJenCW9bwYsc_yd23wIxrYWE6KdGsSQX7Nc-B87TQzQCogf8eqXCdoa8KCNxLifMldeMHTQ5nn5Yw8Fgz7tk8YLcI/s400/CT+August+Fifties+Dress.jpg" width="372" /></a></div>
<br />
I printed the template on to the pink spot paper and cut with a craft knife. I tried using pearls, buttons and flowers on the waistband of the dress but ended up going with a strip of blue velvet ribbon.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIJmDNxqdl5d55WlhEJT6QNhwNNBGyXrfCkhy6msWBofI2lowsN8W0_3BtWQOfjaUA3PDdqOvvTKWuMb8BWAs2ouT1VAhz3gQakEgwx52gs7O9LhbNbJu0_k7EzvaJ9ozdlJfW004wE8Q/s1600/CT+August+Fifties+Dress+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIJmDNxqdl5d55WlhEJT6QNhwNNBGyXrfCkhy6msWBofI2lowsN8W0_3BtWQOfjaUA3PDdqOvvTKWuMb8BWAs2ouT1VAhz3gQakEgwx52gs7O9LhbNbJu0_k7EzvaJ9ozdlJfW004wE8Q/s400/CT+August+Fifties+Dress+1.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I just love how this card turned out, so cute!<br />

<div style="text-align: left;">
I've been playing with this month's new templates from <a href="http://www.blogger.com/www.craftytemplates.co.uk">Crafty Templates</a> and created a birthday card.</div>
<br />
I used the Birthday Checklist template. I had lots of ideas for this and went with a simple birthday card design.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtn_0Z1qOe1sO0GddnwwbhcnS7Ali2HUkP8Uu0K3mf8OxYPQ6OgjPbg3TxPKYVHJWL-P2o4xjkbovwEdHXVH0b7lCfjxdQI3PTJqoMbRkBOf3erlv_1-yM4TuI4OlR0bf-LUB_DRk2mcw/s1600/CT+August+Birthday+Checklist.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="286" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtn_0Z1qOe1sO0GddnwwbhcnS7Ali2HUkP8Uu0K3mf8OxYPQ6OgjPbg3TxPKYVHJWL-P2o4xjkbovwEdHXVH0b7lCfjxdQI3PTJqoMbRkBOf3erlv_1-yM4TuI4OlR0bf-LUB_DRk2mcw/s320/CT+August+Birthday+Checklist.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
As I wanted a simple card, I printed the template out on white cardstock and added the ticks in the boxes with a black marker pen. I think this template would look really good printed on to lined notepaper too!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
I'm super late posting my project this fortnight, I have no idea where the last week has gone! Oh yes I remember, my sweet boys have kept me very busy whilst on their summer holidays from school. I've loved having them at home with me and we've all enjoyed a few lazy mornings where we didn't need to put the alarm on to wake up, rushing to get ready and out the door for school. My creativity has been spent on them these last few weeks so it will be nice when I get get my paper, stamps and ribbon out again!!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmYeMmw-FpCvdk7DHxl0o3LNqcF9IzzXByEnEdPQePJFjRAV00ftby2k2okRBa9sGZpIpmANi-62xvX2Bx6Ve8jkCbRWsM2AQ9UIe3Mmk5SGzbs75-6LSQVRDPuWo_UVGVkSbzbrdxrfM/s1600/wIMG_1717+copy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="206" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmYeMmw-FpCvdk7DHxl0o3LNqcF9IzzXByEnEdPQePJFjRAV00ftby2k2okRBa9sGZpIpmANi-62xvX2Bx6Ve8jkCbRWsM2AQ9UIe3Mmk5SGzbs75-6LSQVRDPuWo_UVGVkSbzbrdxrfM/s320/wIMG_1717+copy.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I love making mini albums and used to make them all the time but since setting up The Ribbon Reel, I have less time to put these together and instead concentrate on creating cards, which are easier to fit in to my day to life. Lots of white space for baby photos and tags for journalling those early memories.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDgF_Ybt_CmhkVi00DraHxWyEWluBMR446s6-JV2KeUnhOKS2LAeFEJr4zx6F9tFYrqJs6woENJGDNV22heJMNCe47KO_MkW2tQGj_jBMlw0zS3XFPZyJV5sptjnpasBAF6swoI1OJ1Ow/s1600/wIMG_1719+copy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="199" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDgF_Ybt_CmhkVi00DraHxWyEWluBMR446s6-JV2KeUnhOKS2LAeFEJr4zx6F9tFYrqJs6woENJGDNV22heJMNCe47KO_MkW2tQGj_jBMlw0zS3XFPZyJV5sptjnpasBAF6swoI1OJ1Ow/s320/wIMG_1719+copy.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Again more white space for photos, although you could also attach keepsakes or journal here too. The round felt tag is removable and held on the page with a small bulldog clip.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyOaQ-0-BOdWLNpprGEekaxAkFgmYNYkdtwIO3Fc-PEFOUoM2xJi6WxdPRXNWwuDCxHe1pAAvgCuixZ0zJkzqGmGF7qDrQyi4cvIV2ppssdcL_f730SclzFxaTou0BwMr5icHBqEIyyu4/s1600/wIMG_1722+copy+copy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="206" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyOaQ-0-BOdWLNpprGEekaxAkFgmYNYkdtwIO3Fc-PEFOUoM2xJi6WxdPRXNWwuDCxHe1pAAvgCuixZ0zJkzqGmGF7qDrQyi4cvIV2ppssdcL_f730SclzFxaTou0BwMr5icHBqEIyyu4/s320/wIMG_1722+copy+copy.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Another sweet felt circle tag.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgwyhB-Gx4fb7sPytcO70eRNp0o2u5h6yabqpRPSnZsmH3XS_zBKScOVJL7eixjlaHMLDvy4pza0ahycjV-2ccq_A1cW6tT2vwvDD6phGRJ4Ap5TC4eO9PmmEZbIMAnE6ivyOfgcNqmvCM/s1600/wIMG_1726+copy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="195" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgwyhB-Gx4fb7sPytcO70eRNp0o2u5h6yabqpRPSnZsmH3XS_zBKScOVJL7eixjlaHMLDvy4pza0ahycjV-2ccq_A1cW6tT2vwvDD6phGRJ4Ap5TC4eO9PmmEZbIMAnE6ivyOfgcNqmvCM/s320/wIMG_1726+copy.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Large white space for photos which can slide behind the lace and a cute little frog tag.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHjD5kLWFVeApsc4feaAkoKwU7SGl-HLPSmWrf8XgoUKPRRrQ3o1ErNNbRZaXUjy-acGBjlv6rT2KN9ECOZCTCDL3_bU2kCPf95GbcMShae2TGKjsbUVIL509kA2ULJNAtM-WSAcSAAfJw/s1600/Keilly+TRR%252335+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="202" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHjD5kLWFVeApsc4feaAkoKwU7SGl-HLPSmWrf8XgoUKPRRrQ3o1ErNNbRZaXUjy-acGBjlv6rT2KN9ECOZCTCDL3_bU2kCPf95GbcMShae2TGKjsbUVIL509kA2ULJNAtM-WSAcSAAfJw/s320/Keilly+TRR%252335+2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Here is my little chipboard bunting. I was originally going to put this on the cover but couldn't get it to fit properly so opted for an inner page instead.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcJK1miQXUfngre1mobQHOyr62PdlRKOehUD4hylkFOQAlcbq98LXa38-2C1jh5dhZnRLKaAdhVmczVW2LLarp47l9E1FwyMMITEVf8Nwe4ockUCqRKdI1OhEjJBf_tBMt8ybSQKqHNzk/s1600/wIMG_1729+copy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcJK1miQXUfngre1mobQHOyr62PdlRKOehUD4hylkFOQAlcbq98LXa38-2C1jh5dhZnRLKaAdhVmczVW2LLarp47l9E1FwyMMITEVf8Nwe4ockUCqRKdI1OhEjJBf_tBMt8ybSQKqHNzk/s320/wIMG_1729+copy.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>

It's Friday at last! Not only does that mean that it's nearly the weekend but that we have a new dare at Daring Cardmakers today.<br />
<br />
It's Jo's turn to set the dare this week and she has chosen...<span style="font-size: large;"> </span><br />
<br />
<div style="color: #cc0000;">
<b><span style="font-size: large;">'Film Quotes</span>' </b></div>
<br />
We'd like you to use a line/quotation from the Big Screen as your inspiration and see where that leads your cardmaking.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
Here is my card....</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiW5gixbICshjut7b7zqum_PsFby59D89Lng6tjb6ULnnGlbxoq0_BJGnJrpG10MD6LwmVzyvyQkpFt2ZmnwlproUunhuegSCKkpzM8Y9umTNLEdBYweVuc6wFPYcFJChj3JWlou0bTrC4/s1600/DCM+Movie+quote.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiW5gixbICshjut7b7zqum_PsFby59D89Lng6tjb6ULnnGlbxoq0_BJGnJrpG10MD6LwmVzyvyQkpFt2ZmnwlproUunhuegSCKkpzM8Y9umTNLEdBYweVuc6wFPYcFJChj3JWlou0bTrC4/s400/DCM+Movie+quote.jpg" width="358" /></a></div>
<br />
There are so many fabulous film quotes that I found it hard to choose a suitable one that would work well on a card. I ended up with two quotes and opted for the line <i><b>'We'll always have Paris'</b></i> from Casablanca. I had the perfect stamps in mind from WMS which I hadn't had time to ink up yet. I used the Eiffel Tower image and Paris sentiment as the base of the card. The papers are from MME and I distressed all the edges with Antique Linen distress ink. I added a seam binding bow in Oatmeal. It's supposed to be a lot more crinkly but I didn't have time to spray with water and let it dry!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhD_X_eeiv6UY6lbQL-Fa2EfH2-hqVeEGv6wRORPHsHCeqhSjZnxpyYa42bX7vC8g_fdrGXc9IWkfB0vsZD01xcdTilZPHSqEatKdnSH5CczCwLMJbu4k-mtXrkK8ppNWc2tnpb6-LfKto/s1600/DCM+Movie+quote+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhD_X_eeiv6UY6lbQL-Fa2EfH2-hqVeEGv6wRORPHsHCeqhSjZnxpyYa42bX7vC8g_fdrGXc9IWkfB0vsZD01xcdTilZPHSqEatKdnSH5CczCwLMJbu4k-mtXrkK8ppNWc2tnpb6-LfKto/s400/DCM+Movie+quote+1.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I finished the sentiment with alphabet stamps from PTI. I hand cut the Paris tag / flourish and popped it up with some foam dots. The white rose finishes it off perfectly.<br />
<br />
